“Niki” is internet slang meaning “aniki” (big brother), and “neki” means “aneki” (big sister).

「ニキ」は「兄貴」、「ネキ」は「姉貴」を意味するネットスラングです。

From there, they are used to call someone who is knowledgeable in a certain field or someone you can rely on.

そこから転じて、ある分野に詳しい人や頼りになる人を呼ぶときに使います。

They are often used as a compliment.

褒め言葉として使われることが多いです。

On the other hand, it can also be used with sarcasm toward someone who shows off their knowledge and acts arrogantly.

一方で、知識をひけらかして偉そうにしている人に対して、皮肉を込めて使われることもあります。
