前回(ぜんかい)の大阪(おおさか)・関西万博(かんさいばんぱく)の「ミャクミャク」に続(つづ)き、オノマトペが豊(ゆた)かな日本語(にほんご)らしい名前(なまえ)です。

In Japan, hot days are each given a name.
日本(にほん)では、暑(あつ)い日(ひ)にそれぞれ名前(なまえ)がつけられています。

Days with temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius or higher are called “Natsubi”, 30 degrees Celsius or higher “Manatsubi”, and 35 degrees Celsius or higher “Moshobi”.
気温(きおん)が25度(ど)以上(いじょう)になる日(ひ)は「夏日(なつび)」、30度(ど)以上(いじょう)は「真夏日(まなつび)」、35度(ど)以上(いじょう)は「猛暑日(もうしょび)」と呼(よ)ばれます。

However, in recent years, dangerous heat of nearly 40 degrees Celsius has begun to be observed in various places.
しかし近年(きんねん)は、40度(ど)近(ちか)い危険(きけん)な暑(あつ)さが各地(かくち)で観測(かんそく)されるようになりました。

アルファ世代(せだい) | Generation Alpha

definition: Generation Alpha

The generation born from the late 1990s to around 2010 is called “Generation Z”.

1990年代(ねんだい)後半(こうはん)〜2010年前後(ねんぜんご)に生(う)まれた世代(せだい)は「Z世代(せだい)」と呼(よ)ばれます。

The generation following that, born from around 2010 to the mid-2020s, is “Generation Alpha”.

それに続(つづ)く2010年頃(ねんごろ)〜2020年代(ねんだい)半(なか)ばに生(う)まれた世代(せだい)が「アルファ世代(せだい)」です。

While Generation Z grew up with the internet, Generation Alpha is a generation familiar with AI.

Z世代(せだい)がネットとともに育(そだ)ったのに対(たい)し、アルファ世代(せだい)はAIが身近(みぢか)な世代(せだい)です。

The next generation is called “Generation Beta”, and is expected to grow up as AI and automation become more commonplace.

次(つぎ)の世代(せだい)は「ベータ世代(せだい)」と呼(よ)ばれ、AIや自動化(じどうか)がより日常化(にちじょうか)する中(なか)で育(そだ)つと見(み)られています。

Attached to umbrellas, bags, plastic bottles, and such, they are small accessories recognized as one’s own at a glance.

傘(かさ)やバッグ(bag)、ペットボトル(PET bottle)などに付(つ)けて、ひと目(め)で自分(じぶん)のものとわかる小(ちい)さなアクセサリー(accessories)。

They are attracting attention as practical items preventing mix-ups and leaving things behind.

取(と)り違(ちが)えや置(お)き忘(わす)れを防(ふせ)ぐ実用(じつよう)アイテム(item)として注目(ちゅうもく)されています。

They are also popular as “charm cosmetics” enjoyed by attaching them to cosmetics like lipsticks.

It is an abbreviation of ‘not knowing even a single millimeter.’

「1ミリ(milli)も知(し)らない」を略(りゃく)した言葉(ことば)です。

Regarding specific works, characters, and such, it refers to a state of having absolutely no knowledge.

特定(とくてい)の作品(さくひん)やキャラクター(character)などについて、まったく知識(ちしき)がない状態(じょうたい)を指(さ)します。

Purposeley in a ‘Miri-shira’ state, people sometimes enjoy freely guessing the characters’ looks and personalities.

あえて“ミリ(milli)しら”の状態(じょうたい)で、キャラクター(character)の外見(がいけん)や性格(せいかく)を自由(じゆう)に予想(よそう)して楽(たの)しむこともあります。

It is an abbreviation of ‘cosmetics you want to take to your grave.’

「墓まで持っていきたいコスメ」の略です。

It refers to cosmetics you love enough to want to keep using for a lifetime.

一生使い続けたいと思うほど気に入っている化粧品のことを指します。

The quality and feel are excellent, and it is an item you feel is hard to replace with anything else.

品質や使い心地が非常に良く、他のものでは代えがたいと感じるアイテムです。

On SNS and such, when sharing a favorite item, saying ‘this is the only one’, it’s often used.

SNSなどで、“これしかない”というお気に入りを紹介するときによく使われます。
