奈良県にある靴下工場SOUKIでは、「チャリックス」という機械が使われています。 - A chari means a bicycle; it is a machine that combines a sock knitting machine and a bicycle that is actually used in the factory.
チャリとは自転車のことで、工場で実際に使われている靴下編み機と自転車を融合させた機械です。 - You choose the size and length of your socks, as well as three colors of yarn of your choice, pedal the bicycle, and the machine kicks in to produce your socks.
靴下のサイズと丈、好きな色の糸を3色選んで自転車をこぐと、機械が作動して靴下が出来上がるのです。 - The staff finishes them on the spot, so you can wear them right away.
スタッフがその場で仕上げをしてくれるので、すぐに履くことができます。 - For online orders, the staff at SOUKI rides the bicycle on behalf of the customer.
