Wind Phone

Located in Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture – which was affected by the Great Earthquake – this is the name of a phone booth. Located at a high elevation and commanding a view of the coastline, this telephone is not connected. It’s furnished with a notebook on which is written, “One can speak from the heart on the wind telephone,” and in which visitors write down their feelings. (From January issue, 2014 / 2014年1月号より)
