This is a portmanteau word that combines the word mama with Mac (McDonald’s) and refers to mom-made McDonald’s-style set menus. It became popular ever since mothers began to upload photos on social networking sites. They draw a McDonald’s-style logo onto paper bags purchased at a 100 yen store to make it look like the real thing.
