Samidare refers to rainfall during the fifth month of the traditional Japanese calendar (June in the present calendar), in short, the rainy season. This term can be used to refer to something that, like the rainy season, continues for a long time. There are many people who, if they sent an email several times, would say, “I’m sorry to send this to you samidare-style.”
