Oyakaku (Confirm with Parents)
This is an abbreviation of “oya ni kakunin suru (confirm with parents).” After companies’ informal job offers to students, there has been an increase in cases where students reject them, saying that their parents oppose the decision, after some time. Therefore, companies have started directly confirming acceptance of the job offers with the student’s parents. (From April issue, 2024 / 2024年4月号より)
