Kan-onji City in Kagawa Prefecture and Unicharm Corporation have joined forces to experiment with the installation and operation of the “Tsunagaru Omutsu (Connection Diaper) Box” and “Tsunagaru Omutsu Bank.” Omutsu Box allows visitors who use the Child Rearing Support Center to use diapers for changing free of charge from the box. This service allows people to easily go out with a small amount of luggage, interact with other people who are raising children, and also interact with the center staff. Omutsu Bank is an initiative which encourages households to donate excess diapers, such as those that no longer fit, to be inspected and distributed to families in need.
