KuToo

This is a movement of women protesting the obligatory wearing of pumps or high heels in the workplace or while job hunting. The term was coined by combining the words for kutsu (shoes) and kutsuu (pain) with “MeToo,” a movement against sexual harassment. As a campaign to collect signatures online gathered momentum, some companies decided to allow female employees to wear sneakers.
