Apo-den (Fraudulent Phone-calls)

Apo is an abbreviation of appointment and den of denwa (phone), so this word refers to appointments made over the phone. However, it recently came to be used in reference to fraudulent phone calls. Burglars phone the elderly in advance and ask about things like how much cash they have and when they are at home.
