Abenomask
This is a portmanteau word made from “mask” and Prime Minister Abe’s “Abenomics” economic policy. When masks were not easy to get hold of, Prime Minister Abe announced that he would distribute two masks to each household. As many people would have preferred some kind of financial support, this caused some controbersy with people wondering whether or not it was an April fool’s prank.
