Jitome (Scornful eyes)
This term describes the act of looking at something with halfopen eyes or the shape of the eyes at that moment (a downward half-moon shape). It is used to express negative emotions such as disdain. It is said to come from the onomatopoeia “jito- ” which represents this expression. (From June issue, 2024 / 2024年6月号より)
