In Japan you can enjoy many different cuisines.
Choosing lunch is something workers look forward to every day.
There are over 100 restaurants in the vicinity of our office.
Since we moved here about two years ago, while searching for delicious cuisine, I have visited various restaurants with my staff.
As a result, out of these restaurants, I have noticed there are a variety of types.
Restaurants with a fashionable atmosphere allow you take your time eating, but their prices have a tendency to be a little higher.
Even at lunch time there are relatively few customers and before you have time to realize it, some restaurants disappear.
With their unique flavors and reasonable prices, Asian restaurants are jam packed.
However, the staff’s attitude to customers in many of these restaurants is brusque and they pack customers into seating so that it’s hard to relax.
Conversely there are places where the staff has good manners, the service is attentive and some even offer discounts on rainy days.
However, the taste of their food is below average and there are never many customers.
Fast food restaurants are inexpensive and the taste of their food is fairly good, however, you have to wait in a long queue and it’s not possible to take your time eating.
Convenience stores and take out stores offer a variety of lunch boxes – the flavor of the food and the price is fine, but consuming them at your desk doesn’t give you a change of atmosphere.
Since each restaurant has both good and bad points, every day I am torn about what to choose for lunch.
One day I discussed this with my wife, she had this to say:
“What delightful problems you have! Twice a day a person like me struggles with the question of what I should cook you for breakfast and dinner.”
