This is an app that allows users to watch commercial TV broadcasts, but not broadcasts on the public NHK channel. NHK charges a license fee that must be paid if you have a television set at home, as a result, people who don’t watch it have been complaining. The app’s developer, Sony, says, “It is not a TV, but a liquid crystal screen for commercial use.”
