Gohann (Rice / Meal) Logic

This refers to employing false logic to talk oneself out of a situation. The term spread after congressmen gave tricksy replies in the face of questioning during debates in the Diet. For instance, a person might reply to the question of whether they’d had a meal with, “I had bread, but not gohann (rice).”
