New Expressions & Buzzwords | タピる

Tapiru

This refers to drinking tapioca milk tea, a drink that was invented in Taiwan. Also in Japan, it is very popular, especially with young women. On the other hand, as some leave cups half full after taking a photo of them for their social media accounts, it’s been pointed out that it encourages bad manners and creates a waste problem.
