Who is a Premium Subscriber?
A Hiragana Times annual subscriber is automatically registered as a premium subscriber.
Although the subscription fee differs depending on whether you order the print or digital magazine (including audio or not), whether you subscribe for one year or two years, whether your subscription is new or renewal, and your location, all individual subscribers are qualified as a premium subscriber.
However, corporate and institutional subscribers (such as companies, schools, libraries and associations), those who purchase it at bookstores, those who read at a library, and those who subscribe to the free e-mail newsletter, are not registered as premium subscribers.

Premium subscribers can read the full texts of articles especially selected from the huge archives beginning with the first issue published in 1986.

Premium subscribers have opportunities to learn Japanese and learn about Japan at no cost with the help of volunteer Japanese coaches.
