Haiku translated into English is gaining in popularity. This is karuta (traditional Japanese playing cards) featuring haiku that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. The cards include 100 famous Haiku up to contemporary times by people such as MATSUO Basho, KOBAYASHI Issa, NATSUME Soseki and AKUTAGAWA Ryunosuke. The cards are divided into the five categories of spring, summer, autumn, winter and New Year by color (each season has 20 cards).
